 oncert pianist and composer born in Melbourne on 8th July, 1882.In 1895 he moved to Germany to study before moving to America. In 1921 he became a US citizen, a la Rupert Murdoch. Grainger composed and recorded folk music arrangements for the piano until his death in 1961. In 1999 a film depicting his life was released.  |
